WHO'S ELIGIBLE TO WORK WITH YOU?
We love to support clients from all over. Clients from all 50 states are eligible to do our Energy Accelerator, Gut Restoration and Mito Boost programs. These virtual programs optimize adrenal, gut and mitochondrial health, which we’ve made super accessible and affordable to all.
On the other hand, if you are interested in one-on-one care AND you reside in the state of Ohio or Florida, then you are eligible to do the Best Life Root Cause Resolution program. Note: We offer one-on-one care to clients from other states as long as they’re able to travel to Ohio to see us in person for the first visit to establish care.
All one-on-one visits in the Best Life Root Cause Resolution program are conducted virtually, either by phone or by Zoom. We accept men and women of all ages and adolescents (ages 15 and older).
You don’t have to be an athlete to qualify either, but you do have to be highly motivated and willing to try new things.
DO YOU WORK WITH CHILDREN?
We rarely work with young adolescents, as our primary focus is on adult health optimization. However, we are open to working with individuals aged 15 and older if they are a good fit for our approach and program. Due to the nature of our virtual program—which includes at-home testing and monthly visits with the doctor and health coach via video or phone—an adult is advised to accompany the minor throughout the process. We do not work with younger children or those with specialized needs. For such cases, we recommend visiting IFM.org to find a functional medicine practitioner in your area who specializes in children.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The Energy Accelerator, Gut Restoration and Mito Boost programs are $1497 or 3 equal payments of $525. Everything you need for success including testing is included in these programs.
If you’re interested in joining our comprehensive Root Cause Resolution program, we recommend signing up for our video series, which provides an in-depth look at the program details and cost.
All required tests, except bloodwork, are included in the Best Life Functional Medicine program fees. Most bloodwork is covered by your insurance company.
Supplements are not included in the program cost because each individual’s needs are unique, and supplement recommendations are tailored to your specific health goals and lab results.
By keeping supplements separate, we ensure that you’re only paying for what your body truly needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. This allows for flexibility and personalization, giving you the freedom to purchase supplements at your own pace.
We do offer discounts on supplements through our program, making it easier and more affordable to access high-quality products.
DO YOU OFFER FAMILY OR MILITARY DISCOUNTS?
At this time, we do not offer military or family discounts. However, we provide monthly payment options to help make our programs more affordable. You can also use your HSA or FSA to cover some of the costs, and we can also issue reimbursement receipts for certain program expenses that may be covered by your insurance.
WHAT TESTS DO YOU ORDER?
In the Energy Accelerator program, we do a 4-point salivary cortisol test with DHEA (the Adrenal test).
In the Root Cause Resolution program, we do a 4-point salivary cortisol test with DHEA (the Adrenal test), a stool analysis test (GI Map), an Organic Acids Profile (OAT test), and comprehensive blood work and salivary hormones.
HOW LONG DO THE PROGRAMS LAST?
The body breaks down in a predictable fashion and we fix it step by step on this guided journey to improved health and vitality. At Best Life Functional Medicine, we believe healing the adrenals is foundational work, so we always start here.
The Root Cause Resolution is a 12-month program. We first build a strong foundation with the adrenals and then we move on to the gut, liver, mitochondria and hormones.
For clients unsure about the full 12-month commitment, the Energy Accelerator program is available with the option to upgrade to the Root Cause Resolution program after completion.
WHAT IF I ALREADY WORKED ON ADRENALS AND WOULD LIKE TO START A DIFFERENT PATH?
At Best Life Functional Medicine, we have found a proven path to success. The problem most patients face isn’t a lack of information, it’s that they are unsure what to do with the information. You can Google anything. Many practitioners and coaches order these tests but don’t have a clear, implementable plan to follow. This is where Best Life Functional Medicine is different. We have found a path that works, and we will guide you every step of the way. You can relax because as you get started, you’ll gain confidence quickly that we’ve got it. We recommend that all patients start off on the adrenal path, but if you have already worked on your adrenals and you’d like to start with another path: gut or mitochondria, you can definitely do that.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
No. We believe that to achieve the best results and find the true path to healing, it’s best to partner with you, the patient, instead of the insurance company. Unfortunately, the insurance company’s and our goals aren’t always aligned. Patients can use their (HSA) health savings or FSA account to help cover costs, and we are happy to provide superbills for patients who wish to submit for reimbursement. DO YOU SEE PATIENTS IN PERSON?
We exclusively work with patients through our virtual programs, which entails appointments with the doctor and health coach via video or phone, as well as at-home testing. At this time, we do not offer in-person appointments. This virtual approach allows for flexibility and convenience while still providing personalized care.
WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED TO SUCCEED?
We rely on specific technology tools to communicate with clients. You don’t have to be tech-savvy, but it’s important that you have access to a reliable internet connection so that you can check on emails from us periodically.
Once you’ve joined the program, we’ll have you sign up for a free account on our client portal called Practice Better. Practice Better allows clients to book appointments, access test results and treatment protocols, and message us with questions. It is relatively easy to use and intuitive. If you choose to make your appointments online, you’ll need a free Zoom account. If you aren’t up for that technology, we can have our sessions over the phone.
CAN I CONTACT YOU OUTSIDE OF SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS?
It depends on your level of care. We absolutely invite private clients in the Root Cause Resolution to message us through our client portal regarding your insights, breakthroughs, and questions. We respond to all questions within 48 business hours, usually sooner. Clients in other programs can ask us questions at our weekly Q&A calls.
HOW IMPORTANT ARE SUPPLEMENTS TO MY TREATMENT PLAN?
Supplements are vitally important to help you on your journey to wellness. We’ll help clarify precisely what supplements you need and which ones you don’t. All supplements we recommend are based on what the labs indicate you need and are used temporarily to restore deficiencies and imbalances.
The goal is to achieve optimal wellness through lifestyle enhancements and practices. Still, the supplements help heal and restore imbalances to get you feeling well enough to implement the necessary lifestyle changes. We provide access to quality-grade supplements through The Shop at Best Life. In addition, we offer my clients discounted pricing.
Supplement costs will vary, but you should budget $200-$300 for the cost of supplements during your first few months of treatment.
WHAT IS YOUR SUPPLEMENT RETURN POLICY?
You may return any unopened or damaged items purchased from The Shop at Best Life within 30 days for a refund. A 5% fee will be deducted to cover credit card processing and restocking costs. Please note that you are responsible for return shipping. You can either mail the supplements back to Dr. Libby’s house or drop them off, if convenient. HOW STRICT IS THE DIET? CAN I STILL HAVE TREATS?
There is no one-size-fits-all diet for everyone. We like to make diet changes that are sustainable for a lifetime without making them strict or short. Instead, we will meet you where you are and help you implement the changes as you are ready. While we don’t restrict treats, we encourage you to think about the sweets you already like and how you might replace them with healthier alternatives. After all, we are only human, so depriving ourselves of the sweeter things in life will only add more stress.
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM COMMITMENT?
The Energy Accelerator is a 3-month program, ideal for those looking to get a feel for our approach and start by evaluating their adrenals, which is the first step toward healing. This program requires a smaller time commitment compared to the Root Cause Resolution. Learn more about the program details here.
The Best Life Root Cause Resolution is a comprehensive 12-month one-on-one program that includes monthly visits with the doctor and health coach, as well as 4 phases of testing and personalized treatment plans. If you’re able to commit to testing every few months, attend your 1-hour monthly sessions, follow your supplement protocols, and make small lifestyle changes, the time commitment should be manageable. We offer continued care options for clients who complete The Root Cause Resolution program and who are a good fit for continuation.

Everyone’s body is different, so partnering with me to improve your health will look slightly different for each. Because each client is at a different stage in their health journey, I like to offer a range of products and services, including supplements, workshops, and one-on-one care. If you’re just starting on your journey, I recommend beginning with The Energy Accelerator Program, which optimizes adrenal health.
