Best Life started with Dr. Libby and her dream to provide the kind of care that focuses on creating optimal health instead of putting band-aids on problems. Care where providers aren’t burnt out and bogged down with red tape and insurance company mandates. Care where clients fill out only the necessary forms and someone actually reads them, instead of asking you the same questions again. Care with easy access to providers where clients are known and loved. 

Today, Best Life Functional Medicine is comprised of an entire team, each member with their unique skills and zone of genius. This is what we are all about.

Meet Dr.Libby

Best Life Founder
and Strategy Superstar
 
 

Dr. Libby Wilson is an M.D. with board certification in Family Practice. She graduated from Wright State School of Medicine in 2001 and then completed her 3-year Family Practice Residency program at Miami Valley Hospital in 2004. At graduation, she received the John Worthman, MD award honoring her “outstanding interpersonal skills, broad knowledge of medicine, and dedication to lifelong learning.”  

 

She is also certified in functional medicine through The Institute of Functional Medicine and The Kalish Institute and is a certified life and weight loss coach through The Life Coach School.

Dr. Libby’s passion is helping people find optimal health and create a life they love. She loves to interpret labs, explain them to clients in a way they can understand, and create plans to fix what is found. Middle-aged women who have spent their whole life taking care of others but are now ready to prioritize their own health hold a special place in Dr. Libby’s heart and she loves sharing her knowledge to get them back on track.  

 

Dr. Libby lives in Springfield, Ohio with Andy, her husband of 25+ years, two teenage daughters, Josie and Ainsely, and their golden retriever, Zipper. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, running, lifting weights, reading, and all things related to health and fitness. She’s completed two Ironman triathlons, the Boston Marathon, and the JFK 50-miler. She currently loves participating in CrossFit.

Jessamine

Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Jessamine is an acute care nurse practitioner and received both her undergraduate and graduate degree from Wright State University and is currently finishing her mentorship with the Kalish institute of Functional Medicine.

Jessamine is focused on helping people take control of their health beyond diet, exercise, and traditional medicine. Her desire is to help empower people to improve their health and live a more energized life while helping them remain more resistant to disease by using safe, research based holistic treatments.

Jessamine is married and has two young boys. As a family, they enjoy being in nature which includes boating, fishing, hiking and scuba diving. Jessamine also enjoys running and hot yoga.

  • Go-to meal: Sheet pan veggies and kielbasa sausage
  • Favorite way to relax: Yoga and being outside watching my kids play

 

Lydia

Health Coach & Client Success Manager 

Lydia is an NBHWC-certified health & wellness coach. She meets clients wherever they are on their health journey and helps them implement wellness plans tailored to their needs. A master of asking powerful questions and helping clients tap into their why, Lydia is an integral partner in leading clients toward long-term success.  

Feeling unmotivated? Confused about where to start? No challenge is too difficult for Lydia as she helps clients work through everyday health and lifestyle challenges so they can stay on track and meet their goals. As a client success manager, Lydia is also a master of curating a seamless client experience for the practice and loves chatting with potential new clients to help them understand the program better.  

In her spare time, you can find Lydia cooking and trying new recipes, learning new things, and spending time with loved ones. Lydia resides in Sarasota, Florida.

  • Go-To Meal: Greek salad with grilled chicken breast and pita crisps.

Lauren

Health Coach & Registered Dietitian  

Lauren is a passionate registered dietitian with more than 10 years of experience helping clients curate the perfect food plan. She holds a master’s degree in nutrition science and is an expert at helping clients implement their Best Life plans. She loves looking at how all areas of life are connected and how each one impacts overall health. Guiding clients in developing a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best and empowering them to integrate these changes into their everyday lives, gives her life purpose.  

In her spare time, you can find Lauren with family and friends, spending time out in nature, and traveling to faraway places. Lauren resides in Delray Beach, Florida.
